My boyfriend and I were actually 'upgraded' to the Celestian as they were overbooked at Bankside. I'm not sure what the room would have been worth but were told quite clearly that we were 'lucky as we only have this room left'. It was a very large apartment - 2 bedrooms with a large bathroom and everything was very new and tidy. However, both rooms backed on to a generator/fan of some sort and one had its windows right beside a back car park making either room choice quite noisy. As we were on the floor where the shared rubbish bins were, we also were woken by staff and permanent residents as they delivered their rubbish, banging doors and loudly conversing as they did so. In addition, we generally kept the curtains closed in the lounge area - as we were on the ground floor, we needed to do so for privacy's sake. We had to ask at the desk for a connection for the IPod dock, which when all connected gave poor sound quality due to seemingly busted speakers and when we enquired about a skywatch were told that we essentially hadn't looked hard enough...and, after waiting at the first floor lift for what felt like an eternity, we chose to try the stairs which we were grudgingly given the go-ahead to do by a couple of confused staff. For me, the experience has tainted the Waldorf chain and I certainly wouldn't recommend room 101 of the Celestian to anyone!
