Located within the central business district, and near to Parliament and the Lambton Quay shopping area of Wellington, the Wellesley Boutique Hotel features old-world charm in a convenient location. Guest rooms are spacious, inviting and individually decorated to match the style of the period. The Wellesley Boutique Hotel building when constructed in 1925 – 26, was the pre-eminent building in the Georgian style in Wellington, a major work of the architect, William Gray Young. It was awarded an Institute of Architects Gold Medal in 1932. It has remained little changed to the present day, with all major internal spaces in near original condition and displaying the highest level of craftsmanship in fittings and finishes. Parking is also available in an adjacent Parking building at $25.00 from 10am to 10am the next day.

This is by far and away my favourite place to stay while in Wellington. I love the character of the building and the rooms. The rooms are always clean and well presented. Further more it is also located in a very quiet part of the city. I always have a good time staying there.

We had a lovely weekend. Our suite was perfect (especially the bath - we don't have one in Auckland). The room was quiet. And what a great location!

Gorgeous, quaint Hotel right in the middle of the Wellington CBD. Great access to Parliament, the train station, the waterfront restaurants, the cable car. Couldn't be better positioned. The 'Olde Worlde' environment at the Wellesley Hotel is unique in the Wellington Hotel landscape). Great reception folk too. A different feel and more relaxed than the standard 'square-box' hotels.

I booked into this hotel on a business trip, to stay somewhere a bit different. This is a more private place and has a little more style and is relatively quiet. It was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle, not waiting in lines, and lifts.I would reccomend this hotel for a more personal experience.
