Located within the central business district, and near to Parliament and the Lambton Quay shopping area of Wellington, the Wellesley Boutique Hotel features old-world charm in a convenient location. Guest rooms are spacious, inviting and individually decorated to match the style of the period.
The Wellesley Boutique Hotel building when constructed in 1925 – 26, was the pre-eminent building in the Georgian style in Wellington, a major work of the architect, William Gray Young. It was awarded an Institute of Architects Gold Medal in 1932. It has remained little changed to the present day, with all major internal spaces in near original condition and displaying the highest level of craftsmanship in fittings and finishes.

Directions
The Wellesley is located on Maginnity Street, in the heart of Wellington's CBD. From the airport follow the signs to Wellington Waterfront and take the exit into Whitmore Street (see map attached).
Cancellation and Extra Guest policy
All cancellations must be notified 24 hours prior to the guests intended arrival. Cancellations or "no shows" outside of this period will result in the guest being invoiced for the full accommodation charges.
Children are complimentary when accompanied by an adult and using existing bedding. Extra guests are NZD40.00 per night.

The hotel was great however we were disappointed when we had leaking lights in the bathroom and a leaking heat pump and had to move rooms at 9pm. We were upgraded however this is irrelevant when you are going to sleep and leaving the next morning and we got a free half bottle of wine from the mini bar but I didn't think this was acceptable compensation. We do travel to Wellington and we most likely will stay there again however as we like the boutique feel and the location.

On first reading this I wondered if you were making a joke but a few words down, realised you were serious. As you know we made our booking, paid all our monies, really excited to be having a break. Only - 4 days later to be rung by the hotel to say they had double booked & we had no accommodation. The next disappointment was while trying to discuss it with the lady concerned from the hotel, she got angry & slammed the receiver down. SO - NO we didn't enjoy our stay & will never use that particular hotel again. I use hotels for my work using about $15000 worth of stays in Wellington a year. Needless to say, this hotel will never get a dollar of it. Thanks for asking anyway = at least nice to know someone cares.

This is by far and away my favourite place to stay while in Wellignton. I love the character of the building and the rooms. The rooms are always clean and well presented. Further more it is also located in a very quiet part of the city. I always have a good time staying there.

We had a lovely weekend. Our suite was perfect (especially the bath - we don't have one in Auckland). The room was quiet (the hotel seemed empty). And what a great location!

Gorgeous, quaint Hotel right in the middle of the Wellington CBD. Great access to Parliament, the train station, the waterfront restaurants, the cable car. Couldn't be better positioned. The 'Olde Worlde' environment at the Wellesley Hotel is unique in the Wellington Hotel landscape). Great reception folk too. A different feel and more relaxed than the standard 'square-box' hotels.

I booked into this hotel on a business trip, to stay somewhere a bit different. This is a more private place and has a little more style and is relatively quiet. It was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle, not waiting in lines, and lifts.I would reccomend this hotel for a more personal experience.
