From the airport, head North on the Southern motorway, take the Nelson Street off ramp and head straight down to the water. Turn right into Customs St West and the hotel is 50 metres along the road.

I chose to stay at The Sebel as it has a consistant good standard of accommodation and service. However when I made this booking I requested and paid for a room with a harbour view. I was given one on the other side of the building. Having spent 12 hours getting to Auckland I was to tied to raise this issue with staff.

The room was excellent with great facilities. Security to get upto rooms was a little difficult as only one card to operate lift and two of us staying at hotel.

We had a lovely stay, nice to see that there are still some hotels that supply robes. room service staff were very nice & polite. Car parking a bit tricky, glad we brought the small car, large one would not have fitted. Many thanks Paul Loveland

The room we had was very noisy due to being on the restaurant side of the street. I had the worst sleep I have ever had at a hotel - on both the Friday and saturday night I did not get to sleep until after 3 am. Having travelled from Perth to work this made my trip extremely exhausting. Even though I would have stayed at the Sebel again as i am travelling to Auckland again and will be organising accommodation on the 1 and 2nd August I can not conceive of risking such a bad sleep again. Very disappointing.
