Main advantage was the location. Very easy access to and from the motorway and sufficient free car parking. Although not used the access to public transport was very good. Proximaty to Botanic Gardens was a bonus

THE STAFF COULDN'T HAVE BEEN NICER OR MORE HELPFUL. A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED WITH THE DECOR - CARPET IN THE LIFT COULD BE DANGEROUS (WHERE THE TWO PIECES MEET IT IS LIFTING); THE BATH TAP WAS LEAKING AND ONE OF THE MAIN LIGHTS IN THE ROOM WASN'T WORKING. THE BEDS WERE COMFORTABLE AND THE ROOM WAS WARM. WE FOUND THE DISTANCE FROM THE CITY QUITE OKAY AND ENJOYED WALKING THROUGH THE GARDENS TO THE CABLE CAR AND ALSO THE WALK UP AND DOWN THE HILL TO THE CITY. THANKYOU FOR LOOKING AFTER US.

Staff helpful and welcoming.
good central location
clean and tidy although looking a little 'tired' bathroom needed minor maintenance (taps and lino)

Initially did not appear to have my booking which was a surprise, but a room was available. Staff very helpful and obliging. Dinner in restaurant was very good.

As always the rooms are nice, however the corridors, reception area are very run down and the breakfast is getting pretty budget - no fruit, no cerial selection.
By Simon Black. On 07-Nov-2008

The reception area and corridor are a little tired and need some tidy up, but the rooms are excellent.
The site door is very muddy, think there are some general works happending around the building, but this area should be be kept clean.
By Simon Black. On 14-Sep-2008

Room was clean and comfortable, however the reception area of the hotel was scruffy and quite dirty - it was blatantly obvious a 'roading gang' or other such team were staying as there was clay mud at the carpark entrance and through the main foyer. Staff were pleasant but to a degree, lacked professionalism.

We really enjoyed our stay. Had a fabulous dinner-top marks to the chef. Great assortment for the continental breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the bed very comfortable. Enjoyed the walks in the gardens which are opposite the hotel.

great value for money with breakfast included. Easy walk to town. Tidy but a bit tired accomodation, but excellent value for money. Helpful staff too.

It was great for what I needed.
Close to bus route into town as I was attending a course.
Friendly helpful staff.
Would have liked a detailed explaination of which motor way exit to take as the map meant nothing to me but when I rang up was given good instructions.
