We had a very nice stay at the Hotel. We found the staff to be very friendly and professional and should the oportunity arise again we would more than likely try and stay at the Rendezvous again. The room we had was just perfect.

I have visited this hotel a number of times over the years and have always enjoyed my Carlton experience. The standard was always amazing. However since Rendezvous has taken over I have noticed that standards have slipped. I have visited Rendezvouz Akl twice now and am disappointed to say will not be returning for another visit. I found the standard was below average, staff were not very helpful and room service trays were cluttering up the corridor we were on for up to 12 hours later!!! We found this very shabby! The room we were staying in smelt damp and had dark marks on the roof. I have stayed in motels with better service and tidier rooms. Needless to say we won't be back!!

Aspects of cleaning in room not up to standard.
Very poor service at Reception both checking in and checking out.
We understood that the amount charged covered parking for our vehicle (which it didn't) and we paid - then when leaving Carpark Building the ticket malfunctioned which meant another trip back to Reception for clearance.

On the form for booking it said either 2 x double beds or 1 x king bed. I assumed that being that I book for a couple it would make sense that we have a king size be instead of 2 x double beds. Ha some valentines day that was.
I would be very carful in the future to ensure that when booking a king or queen bed is booked. I must say I was a little disappointed with the customer service too. I will make a point of not returning to the Rendezvous again.

Thank you - great value - would pay to make it clearer that the "complimentary" breakfast is not in the main restaurant - i believe we were charged for our continental even though it was supposed to have been included - not knowing that we were supposed to have been in another area.
However, check in was courteous and simple, the quick-check-out made it easier in the morning too. Would stay again.

Great Value at very short notice. Only negative was a very noisey fridge (I think). Rattled every 15 mins which was not condusive to a good nights sleep. Informed reception but no noticeable action taken.

The room was really nice but the pricing for the room service main meals was extreme for the size of the meal. The breakfast was cold at the pacific restaurant.
Other than that the room was lovely and the service was average.

We enjoyed our recent stay at the Rendezvous Hotel, the room was large, clean and well maintained, the facilities were great, the only complaint was that we got back to the hotel a little before 11pm hoping to have a drink in the hotel lounge but nothing was open. All the staff we came into contact with were courteous and welcoming.

Good location, close to Sky Tower Casino and Aotea Centre. Which worked well as we were in town for a gala. Big reception area check in quick and friendly. Room good size clean & tidy nothing too flashy. Nice big bathroom with seperate bath and shower all marbel clean and tidy.
Breakfast what you would expect but nothing special opens at 6.00 am . Service good.A good buisness Hotel or for a short stay.
The hotel foyer was beautiful. The room was beautifully decorated with good facilities. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and we got a great internet rate.

Booked a deluxe room for 2 nights, We arrived about 8:30am from the airport just worn out and were so pleased they had a room ready for us. It was spacious and comfortable with a large bathroom which was CLEAN. I can't say enough about the staff's super quick and pleasant response to all our requests. We had dinner delivered from an Indian restaurant & room service brought us plates, cutlery & ice - no charge. It's close to Queen St & all the CBD shops. We stayed a 2nd time the night before we flew home in a similar room on the 8th floor. Still as good, if not better than when it was the old Carlton hotel.
