Although The location is very central within walking distance to the all the main site seeing things to do in Wellington The first suite we were shown was clearly not what was advertised the second was a little better, but I have to say was not very clean. If you are on the first couple of floors front or back very noirsey with the traffic . the staff were friendly. But would I stay there again? No. It's well to note that there is 2 Quest on the terrace both within walking distance of each other. The one we stayed in was 120.

Nothing wrong with the room as such. However I found the following disappointing.
The Advertised Satelite TV was only 4 stations (Movie, Sport, Discovery and National Geographic). This is hardly a full Sky T.V Service. The room overlooked a busy motor way, and whilst I was not worried about the view, The noise meant having to leave the doors and windows closed making for a stuffy room.
The complimentary milk tubs was not replaced after the 1st night. No more tea for me
Otherwise, a great place in a great location to lay your head and cook some food in the centre of Wellington.

We were very happy with our accommodation but disappointed that there was no carparking available as we had to pay $45 to park overnight in the nearby council carpark.

The good: the room was fairly cheap: $99, friendly staff
The bad: misleading advertising and poor state of room
"wifi" turned out to mean 2 hours of wifi - any more has to be paid for at a rate of $15/day
"access to swimming pool, sauna, spa" was not available because the pool was under renovation.
There was a hole the size of a fist in one of the walls and the door handle was very wobbly - as if it would fall apart at any minute. In general, the room was in clear need of basic maintenance. It was also not so clean. A half-used sachet of coffee from a previous occupant was left in with the used sachets - not very significant in itself, but suggestive of the lack of care in cleaning the room.
The location was good in some ways - very central - but the room backed onto a motorway, which was not so good.
When I mentioned the hole in the wall, the staff at the front desk offered me free wifi as compensation - which I gratefully accepted.

I felt the info misleading in regards to the wording for the spa and gym facilities. To me it read that only the swimming pool was 150mts down the road not all facilities, also it didn't state that wkend hrs for these facilities as a spa at night as I had visualised when booking wasn't possible as this facility was closed by 6pm. Whilst the room was acceptable the photos shown on the internet were of what looked a more modern studio, therefore this made us feel we had been mislead by false advertising and would have chosen somewhere else that had spa facilities in the complex we were staying. Won't get caught out again though!

Good value for money.
Nicely cleaned after our first night stay.
The only hassle was having to find a park then check in and get details of the car park I had reserved etc.

A well equipped, central place to stay. I made an error when I booked and the girl at reception sorted it- no fuss. Thanks

Good location but without inclusive parking! Ride up in the lift gave us a shabby feel for the place, 1st floor where we stayed smelt musty and mothbally!
Room was odd shape with makeshift separate bedroom. Lounge area only had 1 comfy chair and shower went cold very quickly.
All in all disappointing for money....

We were surprised with what the Quest on the Terrace offered to us having never stayed there before.Just great. The managers we encountered at the desk were most helpful and we intend to try this accommodation option next time we venture to Wellington. The only thing missing for us was a view however we were happy to compromise with the great price. Many thanks. We look forward to visiting you again and will recommend the website to others.

Cleanliness of the room could have been better and it was dissappointing shampoo wasn't topped up for the next morning.
By Colette McKee. On 17-Feb-2010

Clean, convenient - could perhaps have been better stocked cutlery/crockery wise to utilise the dishwasher rather than needing to handwash because cups/knives were waiting for the dishwasher to fill up.
Bit noisey overlooking the motorway but that goes with the territory!

This was the first time we had used Short Rates and would definitely use you again. I phoned Quest the day after making the booking to check that they had our reservation and thye did. Our stay was lovely - a great mini break away for 'Mum & Dad'. The staff were efficient and helpful and friendly. Thanks :)
