One of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. Extremely comfortable, clean, pleasant service, quiet, little luxuries. Just one point - it has a very 'masculine' feel (all the reds, blacks and grays) - perhaps a painting or two on the walls would soften the decor a little?

Fantastic service, and great room. Would definitely stay here again.

Really nice room. Pool area is also very well done. The front of house team were professional.
As we had two kids I thought there might have been a queen size bed and two singles? We had two queen sized beds instead - not a major though.
Over all a great place to stay and we will stay again next time in Wellington.

Great service and allows me to stay at my favourite hotel in Wellington.
Staff are very professional and rooms excellent.
I have never had a "bad"stay or the slightest reason for a complaint.
If I can access short rates I will definitely continue staying at the Holday Inn in Wellington

The hotel staff was extremly helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel was closer to the stadium and train station and as will Wellington, we could walk everywhere. The room was very clean.
W also ate at their restaurant Plate. right up until the moment we left, we were treated with dignity and respect, served promptly by a very efficient waiter, and we ate a delicious, fresh, beautifully presented and exceptionally well prepared meal (my steak cooked exactly as I had asked for it, incidentally).
As for the holiday Inn, I liked the modern design of the room and the public areas, the bed was the most comfrotable one I have ever slept in, and the view over the harbour was just amazing.

Spent two nights here and found it very nice. The hotel is quite new, so you feel like you're in a five star room. It seems closer to the stadium that the city centre, which I preferred. For the short rate we paid, I think it was definitly great value.

We stayed here for just one night. We drove down from Rotorua and were staying here before we were to go on the ferry the next morning. Very convient as right off freeway and very close to ferry. the rooms were amazing , very comfy beds and had kitchenettes which i wasnt expecting but that was a nice touch. The bathroom wall was ok with me.. it was frosted so it isnt like you could see through it.. it was more like a shadow. I was sharing with a friend and it didnt case any weirdness with us. I could see how it unsettles some people but.
we had room service which was prompt and very good.. we had pizza and veggies. Check in and check out was a breeze.
While not smack in the middle of town, it is close to various attractions including the Te Papa Museum -- a must see.
Even though we were there at a milder time of the year, the wind in Wellington really bites as it gusts in straight from Antarctica. Be sure to bring a warm/windproof jacket and a hat.
