Heritage Christchurch staff are always extremely helpful and professional.
The room was nice and large and clean and excellent value for the special rate.
Only bug bear was I was going to use my 'free' in-house movie that I won (on the scratchie cards) and in-house movies were not working that night :-(

Unfortunatly we only had a short time on our suite as we arrived at about 5.00pm on the Friday night and had to depart for the air-port at 6.30 a.m., the next morning.
We will definitley try to get back to Christchurch soon,spend a week looking around your lovely city and hopefully get to spend a little more time in your establishment.
P.S. Stayed in the Heritage Hanmer Springs which was also very nice.

My husband and I had a great stay in your hotel. It was our first visit to the South Island and we really appreciated your keeping our big luggage while we did a side trip. Then to our pleasant surprise we were upgraded to a suite when we returned. It was very very nice Thank you so much Will recommend your facility to all our friends.

The only negative comment I have is that the bathrobes were a bit old and freyed. But the room was lovely, the staff more than helpful and we had a lovely time.

I went on this trip with colleagues from work and we all paid our own way. I personally was very impressed with the room I had and the service I received, however, my colleagues did not feel the same. I would definitely stay in this Hotel again as the location was a draw card for sure.

I dont beleive that these were the cheapest rates that could have been gotten for the accomodation given the economic downturn, in future i will look elsewhere

Like many others stayed in the Old Government Building with its huge double height rooms. The space cannot be faulted - super bedroom area on a mezzanine floor; an adjacent bathroom with a washer/dryer; downstairs a big living are with high quality fittings and lots of storage.
The public areas of the hotel are immaculate and beautiful. The price was very affordable. I think anyone who would prefer to stay in the modern section of this hotel must be out of their mind!
