The accomodation was very dated. The carpet was heavily stained, the radiator was leaking. The spa bath area was dirty and cold with black mold on the walls.

Reasonably basic but perfectly adequate and good value for money for a family of four. Note there is only one double bed upstairs and not a double and a single as stated. Great for kids, with self-filling spa and beds downstairs. Ask for a quiet room off the road.

Booked a room with a spa. When we arrived we were told that because of problems with the rooms we had been upgraded to a sister facility, the Silver Oaks Hotel Geyserland. Were given a room with no spa but great views of the Pohutu geyser and boiling mud pools. Our continental breakfasts were also upgraded to cooked breakfasts but we weren't made aware of that and didn't find out until we got home and read our email. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Value at short rates cost perhaps - units looking very tired.
Spa pool area dirty unable to use. I thought advt said it had an "ensuite". Bedroom is upstairs and bathroom is downstairs - this is not an ensuite.
Staff helpful, courteous and efficient.

The stay was great unfortunately there was a couple of small things: A Cob Web on the lounge wall ( We thought the room would be clean?) , No replacement of Toilet Paper - Ran out later in the evening and it was to late to phone reception ( Thought a full roll would be replaced on a daily basis)

The room was very good overall. However, the photo on the internet showed a queen & single bed upstairs, but I ended up having to sleep with my son in the queen bed as there was no single upstairs in our room.
We loved being able to use the pool & breakfast at the Heritage. We recommend Wai-O-Tapu thermal park to any visitors to Rotorua.

An old but lovely, spacious, tidy and clean motel that I would happily go back to and stay again. I would recommend that if you book online that you check after making the booking to ensure that you are booked in with the Gwendoline Court and not switched to the Quality Heritage Resort (both part of the Silver Oaks Group and a few doors down). I stayed there a week earlier and the room I had was not only not clean but should not have been in service with switches hanging out, carpet falling to pieces, mould on the shower ceiling (which was dripping water from the extractor fan) and in general need everywhere of Repairs and Maintenance.

The stay at Gwendoline Court has been very pleasant. We were late for breakfast on the first day, but a middle aged gentleman let us in and brought out all the stuff again for us. We appreciate his hospitality very much. The other thing that impress us is the cleaniness of the room. Excellent! Acitivties can include night out for a dance, or entertainment at the Quality Resort next door.

Very roomy and everything we required. Reception vey helpful and breakfast at the Heritage a few doors down. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Good sized rooms at reasonable cost.
Lovely to have the kitchen area seperated from the lounge area- this gave us 3 spaces for the family of 4 to be in rather than all in the one lounge room. Units are older but well equiped and very tidy. staff very friendly and attended to dead lightbulb straight away.
Overall good value for money.Would stay here again
