Room was good, clean and tidy, great location. Thought it was possibly a little more geared towards the business person, rather than a family unit which we were. Otherwise facilities good, quiet ,but close to town.

A great hotel, just outside the city centre. Great showers, towles and heating. Foxtel kept the kids entertained in the evening on their own tv. For the adults the casino is right accross the road!!! Very nice. :-). The bus and Tram stops were also very close. Staff were very friendly and the place is beautiful, modern and clean. Broadband in the room is quite expensive but they also have computers on the ground floor for a cheaper cost. The whole family loved our stay here. I have no trouble recommending.

On arrival we were given a key to a double room.I rang down to explain I had booked a two bedroom Suite,and after quite a while waiting we were shown to anther room. This consisted of two bedrooms with one bed Queen bed in each room.A small table and two rather uncomfortable chairs were in one bedroom which was supposed to serve as a bedroom -living room.
If you check my original booking we were to have two queen beds in the second room.I was not happy but was told this was all they could offer. I would ask in future that you check the facilities of the Hotels you are selling to make sure they have the rooms offered by you.This was definitely not a two bedroom apartment.

We were staying in the copthorne for work.I requested a non smokers room, then we were put in a smokers room/ floor.
We requested to move rooms.The staff were polite about moving us. How ever then the heaters were not working in this new room.Which was a bit cold.
The staff were very appologetic and the service was polite.Was a bit of a shame though.

The room was fine - good size, but when we arrived at reception we received zero information about the hotel facilities (e.g. gym, restaurant, phone numbers the location) or about CHCH, including the quickest way to get into town - we eventually found this hidden in a drawer at the end of our trip! Some upfront information at the start would have been good.

We thought that the bedroom and bathroom were excellent, new, modern and spacious for our limited stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was only a few minutes walk from the centre and to local restaurants. All together, a very nice tidy place to base your stay in Christchurch.
