There was no hand soap in the bathroom or shower the first night.
No cloth to wipe down the kitchen bench after I cut up some fruit and cheese for supper.
When I folded my top cover down on the bed there was an old blood stain on the underside which was revolting!
On my 2nd night I received a mistaken wake up call at 12.34 a.m. after a hectic day at work.. I was most unimpressed!!

Room was fine - served our purpose, which was overnight accommodation for the ballet, very well. We thought the restaurant serving hours were extremely short though - unable to serve us after the show and we had to go elsewhere which was disappointing. It is ridiculous to try and eat dinner before a 7.30 show so it would make sense to offer late dining on these occasions.

Right in the middle of Auckland city.Excellent city centre location. Don't be put off as it appears to be down a back-street. But it is actually located half a block (30 mtrs) back from the main road Queen st. So you can walk out onto the main dtag and yet the hotel is really quiet and avoids alot of street noise. Great for access to busees etc for sightseeing and shopping. Good sized room although shower a bit small.
The location, room and service at this hotel were all better than expected. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
When you're there I'd highly recommend a vist up to Karangahape Road, known as K Road, is the city's most offbeat area, with ethnic restaurants and shops. The city's alternative fashion scene percolates in the shops of the Art Deco St. Kevins Arcade and other stores along K Road.

Excellent city centre location. Don't be put off when you arrive as it appears to be down a back street. Great for access to busees etc for sightseeing and shopping. Plus it allows for a quieter night's sleep. Good sized room although shower a bit small. Arrived late and by time had shower/shave the bar was shut. So Went to the Blue room (bar) next door and ended up staying till closing. Thankfully it was a 20 metre walk back to the room. Would recommend as a great Auckland hotel,
