The Bay of Islands Resort is located 1.8km from the centre of Paihia, set in a quite residential cul-de-sac in park like grounds. The majority of our units are free standing cottages to create a quiet peaceful environment.
The property is only a two-minute walk away from Te Haumi Bay Beach, which is safe for family swimming and sunbathing. The town centre is a comfortable 15-minute walk around the waterfront, or 20 minutes over the hill. We also have extensive parking across site.
The property features a swimming pool for the enjoyment of our guests, a fully licensed seasonal restaurant, a booking office for the local tourist attractions, guest laundry and bar-b-que equipment for those late summer evenings in the “Winterless Far North”.

We are located at number 6 Tohitapu Road. When are travelling north on Highway 11, Tohitapu Road is the first road on the left once you have crossed the bridge into the Te Haumi Basin.
Cancellation and Extra Guest policy
Cancellations received within seven days of arrival will incur a charge of the total accommodation booked Reservations may be cancelled 8 days prior to date of arrival without incurring cancellation fees. However there is a Credit Card verification fee and handling fee of 10% of the total booking transactions.

Our elevated Studio units all have a view of either the water, bush, the play ground/pool, tidal inlet or surrounding district. A balcony runs the full length with the occasional table & chairs to enjoy the morning sunrise. Each studio has a full Queen size bed with electric blanket & en suite bathroom. Some have sofa beds if you are bring the little one along.
All have table & chairs....
A compact London Kitchen comes with;toaster, tea & coffee making facilities, fridge & microwave. There is satellite television, wireless Internet & radio alarm clock to wake you if needed.
All our units are Non-smoking... Enjoy your stay in the bay & get a 10% discount through our 'local tour' booking office.
The rates are for 2 people, extra person charge $20 per night.

Our one-bedroom cottages were designed with the small family in mind. They are available in a number of different bedding configurations, but a typical unit will have a Queen-sized bed in the bedroom, and a single bed, either in the bedroom or living area. In the living area there will be a sofa that will convert into an extra bed if required.
In the kitchen, you will find an oven, fridge &
microwave. All the essential cooking utensils for a quick family snack.
Most have baths in the bathroom.
We have wireless Internet, satellite television and radio alarm clocks if you need to be woken for that early morning local tour; like to Cape Reinga .
The rate is for 2 people. Maximum occupancy is 5, with an extra guest charge of $35

Our Two Bedroom Apartments have two double beds, a full kitchen, lounge and dining room. As an added extra there is a large spa bath in the ensuite bathroom. These apartments are elevated and enjoy the use of an outside balcony.
The rate is for 4 people. Maximum occupancy is 6, with an extra guest charge of $35 per person.

The two bedroom units are designed with a growing family in mind. The 2-bedroom Cottages have a number of different bedding configurations, but a typical unit will have a Queen-sized bed in the master bedroom, 2 single beds in the 2nd, plus 1 or 2 foldout sofa bed in the open plan living area.
In the kitchen area, you will find a freestanding cook top and oven, fridge & microwave. All the essential cooking utensils for quick, easy meals.
The rate is for 4 people. Maximum occupancy is 6, with an extra guest charge of $20 per person.
Sofa beds are more for young adults but whatever you are comfortable in.
