The staff were very good. The restaurant good for Hotel. One thiing. As we walked in the Restaurant door it said take a seet and we'll serve you. We took a seet on the chairs close by and on one came. i suggest you take away the sign.
Otherwise everything was great.

I had a pleasant stay in the hotel & a very nice breakfast. Reasonably priced accommodation & very handy location.

Only minus was when we checked in, receptionist did
not have the fact that we had booked a Breakfast deal
noted. Young man from office sorted that out so no problem. Room adequate and clean and said receptionist
very helpful after glitch. (new to the job perhaps?)
We would stay there again very central and the dining
room nice with polite staff.

Located within easy walking distance of good restaurants and bars. The rooms were compact but clean and well laid out. Views were non-existent but we felt that the hotel provided very good value for money.

Rooms are noisey from the street traffic. Parking is very tight and minimal. There is an extra charge of $15 per night for parking, not stated at booking.
the staff are friendly and helpful though.

The room was nice and well appointed but there was no working light switch. I had to use the door key light activation unit and could not switch on or off individual lights while in the room. The staff let me know there might be an issue with the lights, indicating the room had just been rewired. The switches near the bed did not function at all and there were no other switches for the main lights.
Outside of that, the room was fine.

Hotel and service were fine. My only complaint was the level of noise coming from Dixon St. The solution: double glaze the windows. RR

Had a very enjoyable stay and great value for money - room was clean and tidy. I found the staff at reception and the bar staff extremely helpful - nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend your hotel again.

The bathroom ceiling had three holes. The shower vent did not work at all. Thick thick steam!
The shower curtain was not long enough to contain the water from the shower, and thus spilt out onto the bathroom floor making it very slippery and dangerous. A dangerous situation for a person who is sight impaired.
I felt the bathroom had not been cleaned adequately before we arrived. There was a shower bottle cap on the floor of the show basin which remained there for the duration of our stay.
The staff were very pleasant.

Very comfortable, a bit noisy being inner-city. Underground car-park a bit dark and dirty, would hate to meet an "undesirable" down there when alone.
Nice meals and good service by Restaurant staff, very smiley pleasant staff on front-desk. Room clean and light, excellent large bathroom and shower.
A nice experience in accomodation. Thank you

Great Hotel. It was our 21st Wedding anniversary although we didnt say anything. First time staying in Wellington and although we got lost we found the Abel Tasman with plenty of "happy hour' time left. Great location, room was good for what we required as we spent most of the night seeing the pubs and clubs. We will be making it a frequent getaway for a night or 2 - depending on our working schedules. Thanx for a good break.

A little noisy on the second floor

If you are interested in staying in town, I would highly recommend this hotel. Also, there is a great place for breakfast down the street--Cafe Neo has terrific coffee and yummy muesli.
If you're looking for a hotel in Wellington, we where you can walk to the restaurants on Cuba Street and to Te Papa. This one is the best value for money stay. Also, off-street parking had to be available. It seemed that most downtown hotels were quite pricey, and the cheaper motels were not close enough to walk easily to town.
